How the County put it up for sale · May 2019 and October 2025
Three-Lot Layout Exhibits (May 2019 and October 2025)
Two engineering drawings, six years apart, dividing the park into the same three residential lots.
Why it matters
The 2019 drawing dates from the months after the Court discussed a "possible sale" at thirteen closed sessions. The 2025 drawing was prepared by the firm that later sent survey crews onto the park.

Between September 2018 and January 2019, “Discuss possible sale of County-owned 7.38 acres in Breakaway Park Subdivision” appeared as an executive-session item at thirteen consecutive Commissioners Court meetings, with no action taken in public. The first exhibit is dated four months after the last of those meetings. The second, from Bleyl Engineering, was produced the same week Commissioner Long and the broker were discussing a sewer line across the tract.
